A picture book with four authors is unusual, but in Where We Come From, Minnesota authors Diane Wilson, Sun Yung Shin, Shannon Gibney, and John Coy join together to create a deep look at their history, culture, and roots. Using family stories, historical records, and imagination, they explore their individual backgrounds and some of the large things that connect us all. Stunning art by Indonesia’s Dion MBD, who has been selected for the Original Art Show of the Society of Illustrators for his work on the book, takes the story to another level. Come see Shannon and John in person and Diane and Sun Yung who have recorded their parts of the story for a memorable picture book reading and discussion.
